LPT MOLA DI BARI | CHANGES AND NEWS FROM 1 FEBRUARY 2023

We inform the kind passengers that, starting from 1 February 2023, some changes to the route of the urban bus are foreseen.

Also following the work prepared in the PUMS (Urban Plan for Sustainable Mobility) and discussions with citizens and a variety of stakeholders, the modification of the route of the line currently in operation aims to improve mobility in the city, to attract more and more passengers , guarantee the right to mobility, limit urban traffic and the use of the car, as well as reduce air pollution.

Specifically, the implementations that will be activated are the following:

• Connection with some healthcare facilities (RSA, Community Health Care Clinic);

• Upgrading of the connection with the railway station;

• Guaranteed connections to the industrial area, involving the companies currently established and with the preparation of a specific shuttle station-industrial area (stops at Sitael spa and Edisal srl), in the time slots of interest to employees;

• Connections with some areas not served with the previous operating plan: Via Carlo Alberto, Via Buenos Aires, Via Salvo D'Acquisto, part of Via Manzoni and Via Don Giustino Russolillo.

• Furthermore, the urban transport service, currently covered until 18:30, will be implemented with a further journey departing at 18:30, with the end of the service at approximately 19:30.
  
  

Following the changes to the route and timetables, to improve information for users, we have prepared a specific redevelopment project for the bus stop poles and plates. In the next few weeks, all the stop points of the local public transport service will have a special system that will signal the presence of the stop, as well as providing specific information to users, on the bus passage times.
