TRAVEL REGULATIONS URBAN TPL BUS LINES MICCOLIS

With this travel regulation, Miccolis S.p.A. intends to inform users about the main provisions affecting the regulation of public service in order to help maintain the necessary conditions of safety and regularity of service.

To take advantage of the services of Miccolis S.p.A. passengers shall abide by the conditions of transportation listed in these regulations and the provisions of Miccolis and its staff, in compliance with Municipal, Regional and State regulations.

1) TRAVEL RULES

THE RISE.

  1. Bus stops are on demand
  2. To enter the car, use only the specially marked doors
  3. It is forbidden to board out of stop or when the car is in motion

DURING THE TRIP

  1. You may not occupy more than one seat, obstruct passageways, and stand at boarding and alighting gates or ticket machines
  2. Smoking is not allowed in the car. The ban also includes electronic cigarettes.
  3. Contribute to the maintenance of vehicle cleanliness by not soiling, damaging, removing or tampering with vehicle parts or equipment
  4. Leaning out of windows and throwing objects out of the vehicle is not allowed
  5. It is not allowed to carry packages and objects of sizes other than those allowed by the Management's regulations in the car Miccolis S.p.A.
  6. No own or improper weapons may be carried (this provision does not apply to PS officers), flammable products, corrosive substances, objects that are potentially dangerous to other passengers (e.g., with sharp or pointed edges, open glass bottles, etc.) or that may cause disturbance or harm to other passengers (due to size, odor, dirt, etc.)
  7. It is prohibited to enter the car or stand in the shelters while intoxicated or in an altered mental and physical condition due to the use of drugs
  8. It is compulsory to hold on to the appropriate supports when the vehicle is in motion
  9. Avoid causing discomfort or disturbance to other passengers and maintain decent and respectful behavior. The use of radios, tape recorders, cell phones, etc. is prohibited unless they are used with the appropriate earphones
  10. It is not allowed, without appropriate permission from Miccolis S.p.A. Distribute, display or post objects or prints, nor engage in any form of trade, distribution or sale of objects even if only for promotional or charitable purposes
  11. It is possible to address the driver for information, but without disturbing him/her from driving functions, so as to ensure the safety of all passengers
  12. Travelers are responsible for any damage caused by their own actions or negligence to the cars, to third parties, and even to themselves

Taking photos and filming must be done in compliance with all other applicable rules, without creating dangerous conditions for oneself and other passengers, without hindering the smooth running of the service, and with respect for other people present. In particular, behavior that may annoy other passengers and staff is prohibited, and the privacy of others, the safety of people and property, public decorum, and public order must be respected. Photography, television and filming for commercial purposes and/or with purposes intended for the press are permitted only with prior written permission from Miccolis S.p.A.

THE DESCEND

  1. Notify the driver in good time of your intention to get out of the car using the stop reservation button provided
  2. To descend, use only the specially designated exit doors
  3. Avoid asking the driver to alight outside stops, as passengers are only allowed to alight within defined areas

2) TRAVEL TICKETS AND VERIFICATION

At the beginning of the ride, the passenger must be in compliance with the rules of ticket use (regular tickets, various types of season tickets, etc.). The customer may also obtain the ticket on board the car but at an increased price

  1. As soon as the passenger gets on the car, he/she should validate the ticket in the ticket validator. After validation, it is advisable to check the accuracy of the stamping (date, time) and, in case of error, immediately notify the driver of the vehicle
  2. Travel tickets are valid for the duration specified in the ticket itself
  3. Monthly passes become valid, for the relevant month, when they are issued and are to be used at sight. They are valid from the first to the last day of the month, depending on the type issued. The validated document is personal and non-transferable; it must be kept until the end of the trip and shown at any request of the driver or control personnel present in the car. Specific laws and regulations govern public transportation.

A traveler without a suitable and regular travel document is legitimately subject to the imposition of a fine, in addition to the payment of a one-way ticket, as stipulated by G.D. No. 112 of 9.3.2009 and Regional Law No. 22/98.

3) LOSS OF SUBSCRIPTIONS

Loss of subscriptions should be reported to the Subscription Office. Miccolis S.p.A. - Via La Martella 59/bMatera. The duplicate season ticket, which is free of charge, will be issued upon payment of only the cost of the identification card and upon presentation of the report of loss or theft forwarded to the Public Safety Authority

4) TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY

These Regulations guarantee to persons with reduced mobility, as established in Article 3, paragraph 1, letter j), Regulation of the European Parliament and Council No. 181/2011 dd. 16.02.2011, on the rights of passengers in bus and coach transport, the use of local public transport service, with the limits and modalities specified below.

People with motor disabilities or reduced mobility, who use wheelchairs, access LPT services, on the vehicles equipped for this purpose duly identified by special pictograms placed outside the vehicles. Access to and descent from the vehicles are carried out by means of a treadmill operated by Company personnel.

Miccolis SpA. will not be held liable in the event that the user is unable to report the total weight consisting of the user and the wheelchair and/or this exceeds the approved capacity of the treadmill, a fact that constitutes a potential risk to the user's safety and structural damage to the vehicle.

The wheelchair user, once on board, must place himself in the specially equipped area identified by the appropriate logo and secure himself through the on-board equipment.

In any case, the service in question may not be rendered to users for only general or particular or contingent safety reasons, whether related to vehicles or stops, evaluated at the discretion of company personnel, who are in any case obliged to inform the users in question fully. The service is rendered toward the payment of a ticket related only to the user.

5) TRANSPORTING CHILDREN AND STROLLERS

Children under one meter in height, when accompanied by a paying adult passenger, travel free of charge

 If there are more than 2 accompanied children, one ticket must be paid for each 2 children

Strollers/child carriages are allowed on all buses free of charge. For safety reasons, it is not possible to board the bus with children in baby carriages and strollers, which must still be folded

Free transportation of strollers or baby carriages is allowed on low-floor buses, without the obligation to fold them up as long as they are placed within the reserved seat marked with the appropriate logo. If the same is already occupied by a disabled passenger or another stroller or baby carriage, the stroller or baby carriage must be folded to travel. Strollers and baby carriages must be locked with the appropriate brake and constantly held by the accompanying person to prevent displacement or falling.

WARNING:

When there is only one seat, the passenger with a disability in a wheelchair always has priority. Therefore, it is requested if necessary to leave it free by making sure to close the stroller or wheelchair

6) ANIMAL TRANSPORT

Animals are not allowed on board buses except in the following cases:

  1. Dogs accompanying blind passengers, even if not muzzled;
  2. small or medium-sized dogs, leashed and muzzled when necessary or inside protected containers whose dimensions are 50x30x30 cm or less;
  3. other animals inside protected containers whose dimensions are 50x30x30 cm or less;
  4. In case of considerable crowding of the bus, for the sake of passenger safety, company personnel may prohibit the transport of passengers
  5. If the animal soils, deteriorates the car or causes damage to persons and property in any way, the owner is liable, both civilly and criminally, for any injuries to persons, animals and property caused by the animal.

7) TRANSPORTATION OF LUGGAGE AND/OR OBJECTS

  1. Packages or luggage not exceeding 90x50x25 cm. may be carried in the car by paying the amount corresponding to a one-way ticket.
  2. By way of exception, special packages such as skis, musical instruments may be allowed to be transported upon payment of a ticket.
  3. Luggage and parcels carried must be kept by the traveler in such a position as not to obstruct the passage of passengers or affect their safety, and in any case must not occupy seats.
  4. Baggage and packages are transported under the sole custody and care of the passenger, without any responsibility of the Company, which is not liable for any deterioration or loss that may occur, as well as for any damage produced to other passengers.

8) FUNCTIONS OF CONTROLLERS

Miccolis personnel in charge of ticket control have the status of Public Official under Article 357 of the Criminal Code. Therefore, passengers are required to state, if requested, their personal details and show identification. Any refusal to do so is punishable under the law.
