We share the wide recognition that our participation in the “Orange The World - Stop Violence Against Women” campaign has received from numerous media outlets. RAI, along with many other prominent newspapers and online magazines, devoted significant space to our initiative, emphasizing the importance of the commitment of Miccolis In the fight against gender-based violence.
The headlines highlighted how the Miccolis fleet, ideally colored orange, represents not only an urban transportation vehicle, but a true traveling message of awareness that crosses the streets of our city on a daily basis. The media attention received confirms how crucial it is for companies like ours to take an active role in social campaigns of global significance.
The importance of the Orange The World campaign.“
Launched in 2008 by the UN Secretary-General, the UNiTE “Orange The World” campaign aims to end violence against women by 2030. The color orange, chosen as the symbol of the initiative, represents a bright and optimistic future free from violence against women and girls.
The campaign takes place during the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence,” a global mobilization period that begins on Nov. 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and ends on Dec. 10 (Human Rights Day).
In these 16 days, governments, civil society, women's organizations, youth, the private sector, the media, and the United Nations system unite to counter what has been called a global pandemic of gender-based violence.
