Users of city services in the city of Potenza can use smartphones and smart cards to purchase tickets and passes with unprecedented ease and convenience. 

With the app Mobility Ticket, as early as April 2023 it was possible to purchase tickets (bus and escalator) anytime, anywhere and always have them at your fingertips with a simple click. Now, on the other hand, we have officially implemented a state-of-the-art Account Based Ticketing (ABT) system based on branded smart cards that can be reloaded at Miccolis Bus ticket offices, through a dedicated web portal or directly through the Mobility Ticket app.

With the new system, which includes a fare cap, passengers will no longer have to buy a specific ticket or season ticket but will pay for the services used "on a pay-as-you-go basis" through a simple "tap" on the validator on board the vehicle or at the escalators, always benefiting from the best fare, daily or monthly.

For example:

• since the bus one-way ticket fare is €1.00 and the daily ticket fare is €3.00, once a passenger has paid for 3 bus trips (€3.00) within 24 hours, subsequent bus or escalator trips within 24 hours will be free;
• since the escalator one-way ticket fare is €0.25, once a passenger has paid for two bus trips (€2.00) and two escalator trips (€0.50) within 24 hours (total €2.50), for the third bus trip at the "tap" an amount of €0.50 instead of €1.00 will be deducted from the credit, and subsequent trips made within 24 hours will be free of charge;
• in the calendar month, since the monthly Bus+Mobile Escalator Ordinary subscription rate is €25.00, once the user has made 25 individual bus trips in the month, subsequent trips in the month will be free.
